Ria's Sketch

Ria had a sketch over her blog and as a big fan of sketches, I tried it out. here are my takes. Thanks for the wonderful sketch Ria. I enjoyed it. I used photos of my dear friend Clarisse and her hubby Edward on their wedding last January 20. TFL!

10 years ago: I was in my freshman year in High school

Things on my to-do list today: make a dozen LOs and cards for submissions

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
I'd travel the world, buy a new celphone, laptop and DSLR or pro cam. I'd pursue my Interior Design course at PSID, and make a new scrap room as big as Lasting Impression's.

3 of my bad habits:
I eat junk food, I'd spend my whole day scrapping or net surfing and let our laundry get mountain high, and I swipe all my scrapping purchases since I got my credit card. (Hope hubby won't read this)

3 places I have lived:
Sad to say I've only live here in the Philippines. But I do hope I could live in the US and somewhere in Europe.

5 jobs that I have had:
Housewife, Mom, Personal Secretary for my dad, baby sitter, Wedding Planner/Coordinator

5 Things people don't know about me:
I got back to smoking.
I sometimes enjoy spending my day doing nothing.
I eat a lot (in Filipino's term, as my dad always says) like a construction worker.
I'm a hoarder.
Under my bed is a LOT of mess since I scrap on the floor, I store my frequently used things under my bed.

Now I'm tagging Cookie, Christine and Cabbie

Color of my Kiss

Your Kiss is Green

Your kisses are short and sweet - at least a first.

You tend to be a cautious kisser. You don't want to scare anyone off.

Once you get to know someone, your kisses are daring... and even wild.

No matter what the situation is, you know how to deliver the perfect kiss.

Kissing Type: Varied

People See Your Kisses as: Skillful

You Kiss Best With: A Blue Kisser

Stay away from: A Black Kisser

My name's Hidden Meaning

What Khei Means
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

Happy Hearts Day

Toot!

What a great V-day gift for me. My LO 'My Everything' for PS Challenge was chosen as Layout of the Day @ Scrapperie. It was a good feeling that my digital LOs are being noticed. It gives me courage to submit to magazines for publication. Hope I get noticed there. So loving digi right now.

Sketchy

This is a layout I made based on Allison Cope's sketch for the Fantastic February Contest at Scrapperie. I made 2 versions of this sketch. The other one was an entry for PS Kaya 10 entitled "My Everything". TFL!

I just received my 6x6 LO from Liza Yet of Scrappin' Kids that won as runner-up at their photo challenge last December. She even included a small RAK.

Thanks LIza for the wonderful LO and the small RAK. Loved it and will definitely cherish it. I'll be sending her a small token for this wonderful experience. Here's a sneak peak...

Finding Inspiration

I'm so happy with my digiscrapping these days. I made a total of 10 Digi pages in just 3 days! I got inspired by Danielle Young's Springtime Kit that was used for the PS Challenge - Going Digital. Loved this kit so much.

Now, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I'm trying to take a break from digi and do traditional pages (or even cards) again. I've been browsing the net for paper collections from different manufacturers and these are what caught my eye:

DREAMSTREET PAPERS' HUGS-N-KISSES

SCENIC ROUTE'S LOVE LAND COLLECTION

(L-R) Carina Drive, Jade Drive, Chickadee St., Ruby Ave., Garnet St.

MY MIN'S EYE KISS AND TELL COLLECTION

My Dream Job

Starting College wasn't the best time of my life. I got pregnant when I was in freshman year (I was 19 then) and stopped from going to school since then. I waited 2 1/2 years before I went back, only to find out I couldn't go to my previous school. I was taking Interior Design at University of Santo Tomas then. I got so disappointed but my hubby peruaded me to get back to school. And so I did. I went to a state college, PUP and took up Broadcast Communications at the Open University (a non-traditional studying program designed for working students and wives/husbands who wishes to finish a college degree). I thought I would just shift to my previous course after a year. But then, I found out I can't!

So many disappointments but then again, good things started to happen. I discovered our own scrapbooking community here in the Philippines and started joining contests, challenges and many others. Why? Because scrapbooking and interior design are somehow interwined with each other. Both challenges a person's style or taste preference. They both deal with colors, styles and techniques. Scrapbooking made my creative side pumping and ready.

After I graduate, I would take up Interior Design as my 2nd degree and get the job of my dreams -- a famous Interior Designer and a great scrap designer.

Kaya 10

This month's Kaya 10 Challenge was all about Going Digital. Diane gave us a kit from Danielle Young and this is what we used for the challenge. I had fun doing this. The kit was so lovely I couldn't help myself doing more. So instead of doing 1 I made 4! I didn't do 4 to win in the challenge, as the PS tag line says, "a Finished layout is a scrappers' best reward", indeed it was! Thanks Diane for this challenge and thanks Danielle for the wonderful kit!

My 1st Altered Project

This is my first ever altered project. This is an altered frame that I received last Christmas. Since my hubby is going to the US this April, I wanted to give him something to cherish. On his birthday last January 13, I gave this to him. He liked it a lot and my mom in-law asked to make one for my dad in-law. Here's the altered frame (Sorry if the pix is not good):

Materials: AAS Foam flowers and hearts, Home Sweet Home quote, brad; Dreamstreet Color my World pps; Hiedi Grace Sentiments pp; buttons, ribbon from divi
