To remember always

I made a digi LO for my friend's sister, Ate Acie whose boyfriend of 8 years passed away last December 21. I made it using a sketch from Little Book of Sketches that was featured at Scrapperie. This was a simple token so she would always remember the love and happy memories they've shared. For Ate Acie, I know Mark is happy wherever he is and will always be there beside you.

From my 'Mommy'

When I went home from a friend's funeral today, I saw a small parcel. I knew this was from my 'Mommy' and I was right. My 'mommy' for the SE CCX is our idol and Memory Makers Master Iris Uy! I was grinning from ear to ear and I excitedly opened it. The card was simple but it was so touching and the message was heartfelt. I really appreciated my first CCX card from Iris. She even included a little gift. Thanks so much Iris. I liked the card so much. So what if you weren't able to make a fancy one. As long as it's from your heart it will be 3x more special to me. Thanks so much and have a blessed and prosperous year to all of us.

Andrei's 2007 Christmas

For the first time, Andrei become excited about Christmas time. This was his first christmas that he was aware of Santa Claus. As soon as he woke up, he asked me for a paper and pencil. He said he was going to write to Santa and ask him for a present. I gave him what he asked for and he immediately sat down and began scribbling (as if he really can write!)

Early the following morning, he gidily asks me if Santa came over last night to give him his present -- A Fast Food Toy Set. I think Andrei wants to be a chef when he grows up. He ask for the cooking set toys (lutu-lutuan) minus the plates (because it's for girls only). I gave my son's Santa request (even in my hubby's dismay!LOL!) After all, it's Christmas and this is the first time that Andrei wanted a gift from Santa.

Funny Anecdote

My son got sick last December 12. His eyes was bitten by something (I'm sure it's not cockroach dahil may bitemark). I applied cold compress (nanay na di marunong!) Only to find out kelangan pala HOT! LOL!!! The following day it got so maga that his right eye is almost closed. It looked like he just came out of a boxing match with Manny Paquiao. (My cel got corrupted kaya walang image)

I took him to the nearest hospital since his pedia in Medical City, Dra. Gomez had no clinic that day. While waiting for a refferal at the ER he just blurted out:

ANDREI: Hay naku! Ang Pangit ko na! Di na ko si John Lloyd. Ako na si Bentong!

ME: Kaya nga tayo punta sa doctor, para gumaling na eyes mo.

A: Kamukha ko na ulit si John Lloyd?

M: Yes baby.

A: Yay! San na yung doctor?

The ER nurses are so amused by him. Uber bibo daw ng baby ko. Feeling niya talaga siya si John Lloyd.

CCX '07

Here's the card I made for my 'baby'. I mailed it last week and I hope she receives it on time. This was inspired by PS' Kaya 8 and a sketch from Ms. Val Salmon. Hope my 'baby' likes it. This is not only personalized, I used faux pearls and stitched them on the cardstock.
